Dr. Sarahanna Selvarajah
Medical Director | LCP-Certified Aesthetic Physician
Medicine with precision. Aesthetics with restraint. Wellness with empathy.

"Her journey into aesthetic medicine did not begin with beauty. It began with medicine, in public hospitals, on an island where independence was essential, and within reconstructive surgery, where she learned to respect anatomy, healing and identity."
A Family Rooted Between Cultures
Born in Ipoh to a Chinese mother and Indian father, Dr Sarahanna grew up as the youngest of three children, with two elder brothers, in a close-knit multicultural family. Family remains her anchor today, and as a mother of two, she brings to medicine a deeply personal understanding of the physical and emotional demands placed on women through different seasons of life.
She graduated from Manipal University in 2006 with Distinction in Medicine. Her academic achievements included the Dato' K Pathmanaban Gold Medal as Best Student in Community Medicine, together with recognition for standing third in the MBBS examinations in May 2006.
Following graduation, Dr Sarahanna completed her housemanship at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh. She was then posted as a Medical Officer to Pulau Pangkor for two years, a chapter she regards as one of most formative periods of her medical career.
Serving an island community of roughly 15,000 residents with a small healthcare team demanded independence, versatility and calm decision-making. With limited immediate support, she learned to assess broadly, work resourcefully, remain composed under pressure and, above all, never give up on the person in front of her.
Where Identity Meets Anatomy
Dr Sarahanna subsequently joined the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Unit at Hospital Sungai Buloh, where she worked with traumatic facial injuries and burns. The experience deepened her respect for anatomy, proportion, tissue healing and the importance of preserving identity, principles that would later become central to her approach to aesthetic medicine.
Her transition into aesthetics was therefore an extension of medicine, not a departure from it. Dr Sarahanna completed her Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), and pursued further training in France, including mesotherapy training in Paris with Dr Jacques Le Coz, a longstanding authority and educator in the field.
She continues to attend relevant international congresses, scientific meetings and professional training. For Dr Sarahanna, staying current is not about collecting certificates. It is part of the responsibility of giving patients thoughtful, informed and contemporary care, while remaining selective about what is truly worth bringing into practice.
Today, Dr Sarahanna is an LCP-certified aesthetic physician and Medical Director of Dr.D Signature Clinic. She has also served as a Clinical Facilitator for Morpheus8 in Malaysia, reflecting her experience with modern energy-based aesthetic technologies.
Her aesthetic approach is quiet, considered and deeply individual. She believes aesthetic medicine should refine rather than redefine, preserve expression rather than erase it, and respect the character of a face rather than chase an artificial idea of perfection. Sometimes, knowing what not to do is as important as knowing what can be done.
"The patient is always the centre of the treatment, never the technology."

Reclaiming Strength, Supporting Women
Motherhood brought another dimension to Dr Sarahanna's work. As a mother of two, she understands how easily women can place their own health last, and how changes in energy, confidence, sleep, body and wellbeing can quietly become accepted as simply "part of being a mother."
That understanding has strengthened her commitment to women's health and wellness. She advocates for mothers to reclaim their strength, confidence and wellbeing, not by trying to return to who they were before motherhood, but by supporting the woman they are now.
In 2020, Dr Sarahanna co-founded #StopTheLeak, an awareness campaign created to encourage more open conversations around urinary incontinence and intimate health. The initiative challenged the embarrassment and silence that often surround the condition, with a simple belief: women should feel able to speak about their health without shame.
"Motherhood should add to a woman's life. It should not require her to disappear from her own."
Family First, Always Present
Away from medicine, Dr Sarahanna lives deliberately close to the things that keep her grounded. She loves animals and reading, enjoys playing the piano, practises yoga, has recently taken up pickleball, and values a restorative massage as one of her favourite ways to unwind from a demanding schedule.
Above all, family comes first. Her family gives rhythm and perspective to a life that can otherwise move very quickly, and it has shaped her belief that wellness is about more than how someone looks. It is about feeling well, thinking clearly, living fully and remaining present for the people who matter.
"Good medicine requires knowledge. Good aesthetic medicine requires judgement. The finest results should still look like you."
