What It Is
Plinest PN-HPT by Mastelli is an Italian intradermal injectable containing highly purified, fish-derived polynucleotides at 40 mg per 2 mL (20 mg/mL). It's a PN-focused gel; other family variants such as Newest and Plinest Eye have different formulations.
Main Use
Plinest focuses on hydration, suppleness and overall skin quality, and may suit fine lines and changes in texture. It is not a substitute for diagnosing pigment disorders, treating active acne, or a dedicated lifting or scar treatment.
Main Benefits
A September 2026 Plinest study reported improvements in hydration, elasticity and aesthetic ratings. It was small and uncontrolled, so these findings are promising rather than proof of guaranteed benefit or superiority over another PN brand.
How It Works
The viscoelastic PN gel attracts water and supports the skin environment, with fibroblast support and tissue-remodelling pathways proposed as explanations. Laboratory mechanisms don't establish every patient's outcome, and injectable PN and topical PDRN products are not interchangeable.

Adults seeking improvement in hydration, fine lines or skin texture may be considered after medical assessment. Skin thickness, treatment area, medicines and allergies guide selection; disclose fish allergy, past injection reactions and any allergy to topical anaesthetic.
Treatment Duration
Allow around 45 minutes, including preparation, topical numbing cream and the intradermal injections themselves. Device combinations or larger areas may need extra time.
Sessions Needed

Results Timeline
Assess changes gradually over the following weeks and across the initial course. Immediate swelling is not the final result, and a review after the third session, alongside photographs, helps gauge your actual response.
Results Longevity
Durability varies with baseline skin, treatment area and lifestyle. A recent Plinest study followed patients for 4 months after the last injection, which doesn't establish a universal lasting interval; maintenance follows reassessment.
Downtime
Mild swelling is expected to settle in about 6-24 hours as a clinic estimate. Raised injection points, redness or bruising may last several days, especially near the eyes, so allow recovery time before important events.
Side Effects
Temporary tenderness, redness, bumps, swelling and bruising can occur. Infection, allergy or persistent inflammation are possible; contact the clinic for worsening symptoms, and seek urgent assessment for severe pain, unusual skin colour or visual symptoms.
Alone Or Combined
Plinest can be used alone, or selected plans may include energy devices or low-dose botulinum toxin for a separate concern. Mixing Plinest with toxin in the same syringe is an off-label approach with limited direct evidence, and requires specific doctor assessment and consent.
